Alpaca-Rich BAMN blend - yarn in natural white (undyed) - 100% New Zealand in natural white colour. Ready to knit (machine or hand-knit) or ready to dye ... alpaca is dye thirsty so expect to use 30% more dye than with ordinary wools.   100 grams minimum is 360 meters.  Remember ... gorgeously soft alpaca yarn!  Minimum 4320 meters (1.2 kg cone).

The Yarn Story: The alpaca fleece comes from the (white and light cream) alpacas of Flagstaff Alpacas and our friends through New Zealand.  Flagstaff Alpacas then skirts, colour confirms and sorts the fleece before it is spun commercially at QualitYarns, Milton, Otago, better known as the 'old mills' about 40 kilometers south of Dunedin!
